Requirements
QwikBak requires the following products to be
installed on your computer.
1. Microsoft
Windows (any 32-bit version from Windows 95 up).
2. WinZip (version 9) from
www.winzip.com plus the free command line support add-in available
separately from
www.winzip.com/daddons.htm.
3.
QwikBak setup installer - see download "B" below.
4. Alpha Five runtime (required only if you do not already have
any copy of Alpha Five installed on your computer) - see download "C"
below.
To check your computer's ability to run
QwikBak, download and run the QwikBak checker - download "A" below.
The checker will tell you what, if any, of the above products are
missing.
To run the checker just download and
save it to any convenient location on your computer's hard disk.
It can be run from there and does not require installation.

QwikBak version 1.01 build 277 was first
released to the public on 1 August 2004. It has been extensively
tested on both Windows 98 and Windows XP (both home and professional
versions).
QwikBak version 1.01 build 279 was
released on 8 August 2004. It includes some minor changes to the
installer to ensure your backup profile settings are not overwritten by
a subsequent install.
QwikBak version 1.01 build
280 was released on 23 September 2004. The QwikBak installer now
checks for a prior installation of Alpha Five and will prompt for a
download of the Runtime if not present.
QwikBak has proven extremely reliable
but we still need to complete more comprehensive testing on Windows 95,
NT and 2000 systems. If you have installed QwikBak on any of these
systems and encountered any problems, please let us know. Please be
